The Supervisor, Help Desk, provides supervision to the technical staff as well as the computer operations staff supporting the University community. This individual coordinate, leads, and monitors the performance of the technical specialists and support staff, and is responsible for modifying or devising new methods, techniques and procedures. Department Specific Functions 1. Knowledge of troubleshooting, configuring, deploying Apple Devices: iPads, Mac products, etc. 2. Knowledge of troubleshooting, configuring, deploying Windows Based Computers. 3. Knowledge of common network troubleshooting practices. 4. Ability to communicate with senior staff and faculty and exercise judgement when to escalate issues to MHBS IT department leadership. 5. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies & processes and recommend with sound reasoning changes or updates in processes. 6. Ability to work nights or weekends if needed. 7. Ability to work a 4/10 schedule (4 day a week / ten hour a day). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate’s degree in relevant field. Bachelors’ degree preferred. Certification and Licensing: A+, Network+, and/or Security+ preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations. • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan. • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others. Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
