What You’ll Do
Supervises the Accounting Team in the performance of daily functions, providing mentoring and coaching Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assetsOversees customer invoicing processes including review of invoices, ensuring all revenue is correctly recognized and reportedSupervises the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processPrepares and analyzes monthly Financial Reports including balance sheet, income statement, cash forecast and related supporting schedulesReviews journal entries and account reconciliationsEnsures compliance with government grant filing and reporting requirementsSupervises internal and external inquiries of financial information for auditors including gathering support and documentation for various audit requirementsAssists in budget and forecast preparation, analysis and updatesAssists in development of accounting policies and proceduresSupports tax filings and auditsOwns the financial and accounting modules within the ERP systemEnsures records are detailed and organized for audit readinessEstablishes efficient, effective, and standardized processes while also reviewing for process improvements in the accounting areaEnsures the integrity and effectiveness of internal financial controlsConducts and supports ad hoc request and assignment, as assignedManages and develops direct reports from accounting team Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees Completes required administrative tasks (e.g., timecard approvals, time off approvals, expense reports etc.)Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional developmentParticipates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as neededAddresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolutionOther duties, as assignedKnowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with 4+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance ; ORAssociate’s degree in Finance or related field with 6+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance;Prior people management experienceProficiency with Microsoft ExcelERP (SAP) or similar financial system knowledgePreferred Requirements / Certifications
Prior experience working with Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech or Manufacturing industry1-2 years of people management experienceStrong influencing, collaboration, oral and written communications skillsAbility to be flexible and adaptable, moving and managing projects with different objectives, milestones, and deliverablesCertified Public Accountant (CPA)WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
