Your role will involve supervising the timely and accurate processing of invoices. Foster strong relationships with vendors and provide leadership to a team of specialists. Demonstrating strong leadership skills and meticulous attention to detail is key.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDirect and guide the Accounts Payable Team, delivering mentorship, instruction, and assistance to foster strong performance and personal advancement.\nEnsure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payments.\nSupervise the reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and address any discrepancies or problems.\nMaintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, and resolving payment-related issues.\nMaintain engagement and communication via phone, email, chat or any other means, with internal and external customers involved in the processes.\nImplement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nMonitor and analyze accounts payable metrics and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement standard methodologies.\nCollaborate with other departments, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.\nParticipate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.\nAssist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support as required.\nSpearhead continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing the accounts payable function's efficiency and effectiveness.\nUphold Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i Values and Leadership Competencies in all interactions and activities.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent 6 years experience in accounting/finance.\nExperience in Shared Service Centers.\nB2+ English Level. Fluent in English written and spoken.\n- MS Office: Word, Power Point, Outlook - Excel intermediate.\n\n2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.\nProfound understanding of accounts payable procedures, platforms, and accepted practices.\nProficiency in accounting software and at least one ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards and/or Mainframe).\nExcellent analytical and troubleshot skills, demonstrating acute attention to detail.\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating successfully with multifaceted teams and outside suppliers.\nSkills You'll Use Every Day:\nHigh level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
