Responsibilities:
On-site management: Supervise daily construction activities, coordinate crews, and manage labor and subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed on schedule.
Safety and quality control: Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct site inspections to identify and address hazards, and ensure the final product meets quality standards and design specifications.
Ensure construction activities align with environmental permits and site environmental management plans.
Ensure compliance with mining regulations and statutory requirements.
Manage contractor performance, onboarding, site access, inductions, and adherence to mine standards.
Project planning and scheduling: Plan and manage project timelines, monitor progress, and adapt plans to address unexpected challenges.
Leadership and communication: Ability to guide, motivate, and communicate effectively with a team, as well as with other stakeholders.
Budget and resource management: Track project expenses, manage the purchasing of materials, and approve invoices to keep the project within budget.
Communication and documentation: Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site stakeholders, provide regular progress reports, and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs and permits.
Technical oversight: Review design drawings, specifications, and other project documents to ensure construction aligns with design requirements and engineering standards.
Risk management: Identify, manage, and mitigate risks that could impact the project
Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with engineering and operations.
Ensure completion of punch lists, redlines/as-builts, and handover packages.
Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, engineering or a similar field.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management
Proficiency in reviewing technical documents and specifications
Familiarity with safety regulations
Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with construction management software
