Responsibilities:
Support and promote AME Maintenance strategies to deliver industry best maintenance planning and Reliability onsite
Provide input and leadership into the design and engineering of asset management plans and maintenance management systems, ensuring alignment of processes, standards, and commissioning practices
Implement AME standard asset management policy, processes, procedures, manuals, and documentation for the underground mobile fleet operations
Develop, implement, and optimize asset reliability strategies (e.g., RCM, PM Optimization, Predictive Maintenance)
Develop and implement long-term and short-term fleet plans to meet operational needs
Optimize the acquisition, deployment, and disposal of mobile equipment
Analyse operational data to forecast future fleet requirements
Coordinate with procurement teams for procurement planning.
Establish and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Monitor fleet performance indicators and develop strategies to improve equipment reliability
Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Ensure maintenance practices comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Conduct regular audits and inspections on mobile equipment
Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance, planning, and reliability teams
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness
Prepare and manage budgets related to fleet planning and maintenance activities
Identify cost savings opportunities without compromising safety or reliability
Monitor and report on fleet-related expenses and performance metrics.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Procurement teams to align fleet strategies with operational goals
Communicate effectively with management regarding fleet status, risks, and improvement initiatives
Stay updated on emerging technologies for mobile equipment and maintenance practices
Facilitate the integration of technology solutions to improve fleet reliability and operational efficiency
Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards.
Qualification Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Certification or training in asset management, reliability engineering, or related certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional - CMRP) is an advantage.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance and reliability, preferably within underground mining or similar industry.
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing fleet planning, reliability and maintenance.
Demonstrated success in implementing maintenance strategies that improve equipment uptime and reduce costs.
