D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Superintendent I. The right candidate will manage the construction and timely completion of multiple homes by scheduling and supervising job site subcontractors, homeowner walk-throughs, and inspections while meeting financial, quality, safety and customer satisfaction goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budgetSustain below average and exemplary Cycle TimesSchedule all involved subcontractors for each phase of construction and evaluate the quality and efficiency of their work to ensure work complies with local, state and federal building code requirements and company standards of workmanshipComplete each home site on schedule from planning through occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are satisfiedInspect and determine subcontractor’s workmanship and product quality is completed on time and within defined scope of work. Halt any work that is not satisfactory or noncompliant with plans, specifications, or applicable codeAuthorize payment of subcontractors when all standards are met and upon thorough inspection of work completed and for materials received Maintain a safe work site by implementing safety requirements and the company’s safety program, enforcing safe work habits, observing OSHA job safety requirements and any state-level agencies’ regulations Manage the customer experience throughout the entire construction process. Recognize and enforce quality standards through daily inspection of homes under construction. Conduct homeowner orientation and walks, provide regular communications regarding progress and address concernsMonitor community cleanliness and ensure the community and worksite is clean, orderly and visually appealing during constructionManage the post-close process for warranty. Assess warranty requests, determine course of action, schedule subcontractors, and manage quality assuranceFollow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and professional mannerSustain above average and exemplary Survey ScoresMaintain a current working knowledge of all applicable building codesWork closely with the sales, customer warranty, and management team to ensure open communication on all matters; develop a strong environment conducive to proactive resolution of issues and strong commitment to producing a quality productConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to work additional hours as necessary to meet business needs

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral visionRegular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and risk of electrical shockThe noise level is generally loud
