Reporting to the Manager – Supply Chain, The Superintendent – HIA/VMI/Rotables is responsible for managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Rebuilds and HME Warehousing. The role ensures that all demand planning and warehouse activities are managed in line with the standard operating procedures. It also entails finding solutions and ensuring that parts are available for planned, unplanned and scheduled maintenance for both HME and LVs. The position will also oversee all commercial activities connected to VMI ensuring that all transactions are executed in a timely and efficient manner by coordinating Supply Chain teams, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support a smooth and effective procure-to-pay process

Lead the discussions for VMI listings and prices for the key accounts ensuring that info records in SAP are always updated. 

Lead the Demand Planning requirements for HME and ensure that weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews are held.

Hold monthly and quarterly reviews of stock holding with vendors focusing on having the correct stock is kept by checking slow moving items and direct purchases that need to be added.

Maintain timely reconciliations on VMI issued materials by providing daily issues information to the inventory.

Responsible for ensuring that Purchase Orders for HME are issued timely and resolve any queries that may arise.

Facilitate regular business reviews and performance discussions with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Provide timely reporting to management on key account status, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Identify trends, root causes, and solutions to enhance supply chain effectiveness.

Support cross-functional initiatives to reduce lead times, improve supplier reliability, and enhance data accuracy.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Full Grade Twelve School Certificate.Bachelors degree in Purchasing and Supply or CIPS equivalent.Minimum five (5) years experience at management level in the Mining sector or other busy 24-hour Operation Industries.

Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and invoice reconciliation.

Advanced skills in MS Excel and data analysis; ability to create dashboards and performance reports.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain management tools.

Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, address discrepancies, and recommend actionable solutions.
