Essential Responsibilities

Oversee construction to ensure alignment with approved plans, specifications, and building codesContribute to M&E Scope of Work and Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, budgets, and subcontractor contractsDevelop and manage mechanical and electrical schedules, including submissions, deliveries, installations, and inspections, track progress and address delaysSupport Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and project completion requirementsPlan and implement manpower levels, material needs, and equipment availabilityCoordinate mechanical and electrical work, ensuring alignment with project requirementsResolve conflicts in structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specificationsPerform preventative maintenance checks on HVAC, boilers, chillers, and other systemsOversee functional performance testing of building systemsLead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor progressMentor and guide project team members to support their development and career growthMaintain project quality through compliance with the Project Quality Program

Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role managing large ICI construction projects, with exposure to mechanical and electrical componentsExperience in full-cycle construction; healthcare and design-build project experience are preferredStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, boilers, chillers, and electrical systemsProven ability to manage subcontractors, ensure quality, and maintain safety complianceFamiliarity with OH&S and environmental standardsExceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Working Conditions

Site based position in Vancouver, BC Valid drivers license, clean abstract, and proof of auto insurance coverage are requiredWHMIS 2015, CSTS training, and First Aid certification (completed or willingness to obtain) are mandatorySuccessful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Compensation

$98,400 - $135,300 Annually

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
