An exciting opportunity for a Simulator Technician has arisen within the Electronic Attack Air Combat Training Support (EATS) Program. The Simulator Technician maintains the super Hornet and Growler aircrew and maintainer simulators at RAAF Base Amberley QLD. High levels of dedication and attention to detail are critical for this position **Key Responsibilities** + Preventative and corrective maintenance, including scheduled servicing, component removal / installation, visual system alignment, mechanical alignments and calibrations, network diagnostics and system troubleshooting. + Perform power-on / system initialisation and preparation activities to ensure training devices are ready for training. + Component and sub-assembly workshop repairs. + Maintenance and servicing of Maintenance Trainers and computer-based trainers for commonwealth technicians + Support of tactical operations flight trainer recurrent / special evaluation activities + Ensure compliance with Raytheon Australia Environmental, Health and Safety policies, plans and procedures as applicable to all maintenance performed. + Maintain Foreign Object / Control awareness and compliance with control systems. + Perform maintenance in accordance with EATS Maintenance Management Plan (MMP). **Skills, Experience & Qualifications** + Certificate IV Avionics or Certificate IV in Electrical / Electronic / Information Technology. + Knowledge of flight simulation systems. + Knowledge of complex aircraft systems including Radar, Navigation, Instrumentation, Electronic Warfare, Air to Ground and Air to Air Weapons. + Knowledge of IT Network fundamentals and diagnostics and computing equipment maintenance. + Ability to hold a defence NV2 clearance. + Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva This is your opportunity to join the brightest minds in the nation working for the mission on leading-edge technology to deliver Australia’s most significant defence capabilities.
