What does our Internship Program offer? 

Key’s Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that provides meaningful work that matters, offers feedback and coaching, and creates engaging events and conversations that will spark excitement and interest in bringing one’s full-time career to Key.  

Interns are involved in a host of line of business specific projects that directly impact and benefit Key’s business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates across all levels of the organization, a series of Learning Labs where internal and external speakers provide insight on Key’s competitive landscape, financial wellness, and professional development best practices, and an assigned mentor who shares knowledge, experience, and advice.

Key Technology, Operations and Services (Technology Track) Internship Program

Our summer internship program spans 10 weeks in duration and allows you to work alongside KeyBank’s experts within Key Technology, Operations & Services (KTOS). The internship provides an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with our innovative technology teams. Our internships will equip you with competitive skills, valuable networking and mentoring and exposure to executives through a structured experience.

Possible Team Placement Opportunities

KTOS Technology teams deliver innovative technology & solutions based on client need as well as build, design and improve upon systems and processes in multiple lines of business. Team placement options for this internship include:

Platform Engineering- this team is responsible for GCP infrastructure, CICD, and oversees Security Operations for Student Loans and GradFin ApplicationsApplication Development- full stack engineering focused on building digital workflows and using JavaScript and Java

Qualifications

Must have completed at least three years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with focused coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Management, Software Engineering, Web Development, Computer Programming, Network Engineering, Game Design and System Administration or related field, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or December 2026Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.0 GPA)Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activitiesBring solid analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skillsPossess intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learnProven ability to learn new software and systemsMonday-Thursday in office attendance in San Diego office location required

Compensation and Benefits

This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $25 per hour. Compensation also includes a $2,000.00 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.

KeyBank’s Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa).
