**Summer IT Internship – Tacoma, WA** **Waste Connections** **Details:** + **Location:** Vancouver, WA + **Duration:** Summer 2026; flexible start/end dates based on school scheduling + **Compensation:** $20/hr + **Schedule:** ~30 hours per week, Monday–Friday **Overview:** Waste Connections is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our IT team in Vancouver, WA for the summer. This hands-on internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in IT operations, infrastructure setup, and user support within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. **What You’ll Do:** As an IT Intern, you’ll support our local and regional teams by assisting with: + Setting up PCs and laptops for imaging and deployment + Assisting with user setup in ManageEngine and Active Directory + Coordinating with subcontractors, low-voltage contractors, and electricians on IT-related projects + Performing basic setup and configuration of networking equipment + Providing user support for Microsoft 365 Office Suite applications + Assisting with Intune setup on iOS and Android devices **What We’re Looking For:** + Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field + Strong interest in IT infrastructure and user support + Basic understanding of networking and device management + Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android) + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment **Why Waste Connections?** We’re more than just a waste services company—we’re a place where you can grow, contribute, and make an impact.
