Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented Finance Transformational Analyst Intern to join our Digital Business Unit (DBU) team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and enhancing financial reporting structures to provide better insights for the Digital Business Unit Profits.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Own Process Improvement Projects: Lead a defined two-and-a-half-month project focused on improving data structures and financial reporting to deliver actionable insights for the Digital Business Unit Profit

Collaborate for Business Growth: Partner closely with Digital Business Unit Finance leadership to understand software platforms and technology-driven deals, ensuring financial models align with the unit's rapid growth.

Ensure Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain financial processes that ensure compliance with organizational standards while navigating a dynamic, "fire-drill" environment.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

Academic Foundation: Currently a rising junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (specifically Google Sheets) for data management and reporting.

Behavioral Agility: Proven ability to deal with ambiguity, maintain high attention to detail, and take initiative while remaining coachable.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and collaborate effectively within a new, evolving team structure.

What We Offer

Location: Boston, Massachusetts (In-person mentorship with leadership in the Boston office). 

Hourly Rate: $29.91 per hour.

Duration: May 27, 2026 – August 7, 2026.

Current enrollment as a rising Junior Graduating May 2028 or December 2028, pursuing a bachelor’s degree only

U.S. citizenship status: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and for the full duration of the internship.

Reasonably expected salary range: $58,400.00 - $73,000.00
