Assist Elementary Science team members with the creation of crosswalk documents that show where Science units and CKLA units align and also show and explain where and why they do not. The use of the NGSS evidence statements and CKLA knowledge units will be used to provide clearer guidance for teachers.

Meets Maryland state certification requirements in the appropriate field of education.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Elementary teachers with at least three years of successful teaching experience at the elementary or STEM classroom level. Must be familiar with the NGSS science standards and have successfully implemented the instructional program. Preference will be given to teachers who have elementary classroom, STEM teaching experience and/or science curriculum writing or training experience. Applicants must attend the required orientation meeting. Dates may be subject to change due to staff and space availability.


Education, Training, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
