SUITE ATTENDANT

POSITION: Suite Attendant      
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage     
REPORTS TO: Suites Supervisor & Premium Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Suite Attendant for ASM Global/TechPort Center and Arena. The Suites Attendant maintains organization and cleanliness of suites and assists guests in accordance with ASM’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting, and overall ambiance in the suite Verify and set-up all pre-event orders Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself Take and place event day food and beverage orders Set-up and check on event day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the eventReplenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or managerMust adhere to the ASM dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoesOther duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal Candidates must have strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.  They must be self-motivated and be able to stand for long periods of times. Candidate must be personable and guest service driven.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one year experience in foodservice position requiredPrevious supervisory experience preferred Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass a credit check

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Universal Service StandardsAbility to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training Knowledgeable in the operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues.Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare event plansStrong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan aheadHighly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment
