$19.23 Per Hour Length of Work Year Monday - Friday, 6 hours/day, time to be determined Employment Type Part Time Job Description / Essential Elements: Print QUALIFICATIONS a. Required: 1. Graduation from high school or its equivalent. 2. Knowledge of current office procedures including proper telephone techniques, spelling, punctuation and grammar, typing and filing; current office equipment, including microcomputers and peripheral equipment. 3. Ability to do general clerical work and learn office operations and procedures; keyboard at a speed of 50 words per minute; understand and follow oral and written instructions; act calmly and accurately under pressure and with frequent interruptions; establish and maintain cooperative relationships. b. Desirable: 1. Additional training in typing, business correspondence and current office methods. 2. Previous experience as typist or office clerk. 3. Ability to communicate orally in Spanish. 4. Knowledge of principles and techniques of first aid and CPR. 5. Knowledge of word processing, data base, spread sheet and telecommunications using IBM compatible and/or MacIntosh computers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Perform a variety of clerical tasks which may include some or all of the following: typing, proofreading, filing, checking and recording information; compiling and organizing reports; maintain calendar and arrange appointments, prepare requisitions and maintain records of supplies, receive equipment and maintain inventory file. 2. Answer telephone and give out appropriate information to school personnel and the public. 3. May enroll and discharge students, prepare enrollment and attendance reports and other reports as directed. 4. Assist in maintaining office equipment. 5. May assist site secretary in other clerical tasks as needed. 6. May administer first aid as needed to ill and injured students. 7. May administer medication to students requiring medication at school and maintain required records. 8. Perform other duties as required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. 2. Ability to stand and circulate. 3. Ability to see and read, with or without vision aids. 4. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels. 5. Ability to communicate so others will clearly understand normal conversation. 6. Ability to bend and twist, kneel and stoop. 7. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally. 8. Ability to reach in all directions. 9. Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
