Job Summary Job Summary

The job of School Bus Attendant was established for the purpose/s of assisting special education and general education students during transport to and from school and/or special activities; ensuring the safety and sanitation of assigned vehicles; and working in conjunction with bus drivers to ensure student safety and maintenance of a positive environment during transport.

Requirements / Qualifications

Schedule is varied; No guaranteed hours, on-call, as needed position. This position is not eligible for benefits. Minimum Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent GED and six months experience working with children in an educational or learning environment. Successful passage of the District’s Job Related Proficiency Test. Valid First Aid and CPR certifications issued by an authorized agency.
