Job Title: Substation Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Substation Engineer who will continue to learn, remain current, and apply independent knowledge and interpretation of departmental design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes. The role involves ensuring compliance with quality programs and providing guidance and direction within project and discipline teams. You will support continuous improvement and change management efforts while preparing complex engineering deliverables and conducting independent evaluations.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with quality programs.Provide guidance and direction to team members.Support continuous improvement and change management efforts.Prepare complex engineering deliverables.Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and materials selection.Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.Plan and conduct independent evaluations, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.Review lower-level engineering work or assignments.Oversee collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work.Lead smaller production teams and serve as the responsible charge for a project.Coordinate actively with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members.Support business development or pursuit activities.Design a complete project of moderately complex scope within an assigned practice area.Assist with performance management process, mentoring, recognition, and corrective actions.Essential SkillsExperience in Substation Design, Physical and Protection & Controls (P&C).Project Lead experience, including leading teams as a technical leader/SME and mentor.Quality Assurance and Quality Control of substation design projects.Professional Engineering (PE) License.Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.5 years of related work experience.Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.Additional Skills & QualificationsWritten communication skills.Drive for results.Priority setting.Planning and delegation.Directing others.Conflict management.Informing and listening.Dealing with ambiguity.Building effective teams.Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work environment with flexible options available after the first 90 days based on performance and assignments. Currently, the role involves two days remote and three days in-office work. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $108108.00 - $161986.00/yr.
