Are you passionate about shaping the future of power infrastructure? Join our team as a Substation Engineer and take the lead in designing and delivering high-impact substation projects from concept to energization.
ResponsibilitiesLead the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations.Support material procurement, construction, and commissioning/startup through energization.Manage the full lifecycle of substation projects, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of project engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff to ensure seamless project execution.Uphold rigorous quality control standards to deliver best-in-class results.Serve as the primary interface with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.Coordinate with internal subject matter experts across disciplines such as Distribution & Transmission Studies, Grounding & Protection Systems, Civil & Transmission Engineering, SCADA Integration & Communications, Environmental Planning, Surveying, and Right-of-Way, and Project Controls and Management.Provide technical mentorship and training to design staff, fostering growth and excellence across the team.Essential Skills3+ years of experience within substation design engineering.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Strong understanding of substation engineering, project management, and electrical engineering.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organization and planning skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Commitment to quality and accuracy.Willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.Experience in design engineering is a plus.Commitment to progress towards PE licensure is encouraged.Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $72.00/hr.
