SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM ASSISTANT in the S-3 Department of Headquarters & Headquarters Squadron of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION FUTENMA. Responsibilities You will develop, implement, and enforce local policies and procedures for the control, prevention, detection, and deterrence of substance abuse in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines. You will provide education, training, and resources to unit members and commanders on substance abuse control and prevention, including awareness programs, briefings, and counseling services. You will provide confidential counseling and referral services to personnel who may have substance abuse problems coordinating with appropriate medical personnel or treatment facilities as needed. You will schedule, collect, label, and process random urinalysis tests to at least 10% of the command, monthly. You will maintain accurate records, statistics, and reports related to substance abuse incidents, programs, and resources, providing regular updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders as required. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment, and resources related to the substance abuse control program Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing, implementing and enforcing local policies and procedures for the control, prevention, and detection of substance abuse; conducting regular drug testing and screening; and managing and maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment and resources. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the development of local policies and procedures for the control, prevention, and detection of substance abuse; conducting regular drug testing and screening; and maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment and resources.
