**Now Hiring: Substance Abuse Counselor (ACT Team) – Rockville, MD** **Location** : Rockville, MD **Job Type** : Direct Hire **Pay Range:** $45,000 – $50,000/year (commensurate with experience, education, and location) **About the Role** Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is proud to partner with a highly respected behavioral health organization to hire a Substance Abuse Counselor for their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live more independent, fulfilling, and integrated lives. **What You’ll Do** As a valued member of the ACT Team, you will: Facilitate training in substance abuse prevention and sobriety maintenance using 12-step programs and evidence-based practices. Provide case management services including treatment planning, symptom management, supportive counseling, and service coordination. Organize and transport clients to community activities, AA/NA meetings, and recreational/social programs. Create and maintain monthly activity calendars to promote recovery resources. Administer drug screens and maintain accurate treatment documentation. Conduct life assessments and collaborate with clients and their families to adjust care plans as needed. Provide on-call crisis intervention during scheduled evenings and weekends. Uphold high fidelity to the ACT Model of Care. **What We’re Looking For** Education: Bachelor’s in Psychology, Human Services, Addiction Counseling, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). Experience: 1–3 years working with individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Certifications: Certified or eligible for certification in addictions treatment. Licensing: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
