The Subsea Trees Project Lead Engineer oversees the end‑to‑end design and delivery of subsea Tree systems, ensuring all work meets company standards, customer requirements, and global project specifications. The role covers requirements interpretation, conceptual and detailed design, verification, documentation, and manufacturing support. You will produce high‑quality models, drawings, and specifications, manage engineering data, support testing activities, and drive product and process improvements while coordinating deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
As a Subsea Trees Project Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Interpreting requirements, customer specifications, and engineering standards to develop compliant design solutions.Planning and defining scopes of engineering work, producing layouts, parts, drawings, reports, and procedures for project delivery.Developing conceptual and detailed designs, including 3D models, stack‑ups, and assembly procedures, following DPM protocols and parametric practices.Producing fabrication, detail, and assembly drawings to ASME Y14.5 standards and creating associated Bills of Materials (BOMs).Supporting manufacturing by applying design‑for‑manufacture principles (machining, welding, drilling, milling) and preparing Pro‑NC‑ready models.Performing design verification activities such as tolerance studies, basic calculations, design for manufacture, and simple failure analyses.Managing engineering data and documentation, including PDM submissions, archiving, FAT and prototype test procedures, and review materials.Identifying and implementing improvements to products, processes, and procedures to deliver cost‑effective and compliant engineering solutions.Be proficient using MS Office applications, MathCad, AutoCAD, CreO/ProE/3D software and TeamCenter.Have knowledge of the applicable codes and standards (such as related API, ASME, etc.)Understands general material types, coating types, welding, manufacturing techniques, corrosion protection, and NDE.To be successful in this role you will:
Have a MSc/BSc in Mechanical Engineering/Design Engineering & engineering experience gained in an Oil and Gas, Energy, Industrial (or equivalent experience).Have minimum 5 year experience in mechanical design engineeringHave significant post‑graduate industrial experience, including time in relevant engineering or technical roles.Have strong communication skills with assertive, positive, and adaptable working style.Be fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.Be an effective team collaborator with good understanding of behavioral and personnel dynamics.Be able to demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing projects or workload demands.Have solid technical, safety, and professional competence with strong knowledge of industry standards, risk assessment, and reliability verification.Be proficient in design, modelling, analysis, financial and project management tools; Six Sigma experience is desirable.Able to handle multi-tasks and work under high pressure environment.Work in a way that works for you
