Position: Subsea Lead Engineer
Location: Initially based in Paris during the engineering phase transitioning to Maputo for the operational phase
Duration: 12 month renewable contract

Role Overview
Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning and start-up of subsea facilities (wells, manifolds, control systems). Develop and implement IMR (Inspection, Maintenance & Repair) plans. Oversee FAT/eFAT/SAT testing and equipment handovers. Monitor subsea asset performance and integrity using digital tools. Provide technical support to offshore operations and site teams. Coordinate with contractors for ROV interventions and Life of Field activities. Deliver training to production staff on subsea systems and procedures.
Experience needed for this position Degree in Subsea, Oil & Gas, or relevant Engineering discipline. 15+ years in oil & gas production, with 10+ years in subsea operations. Strong knowledge of subsea control systems, commissioning, and IMR. Excellent leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills. Comfortable working in multicultural, offshore, and high-stakes environments.

Airswift is proud to be partnering with a leading global energy operator to support the recruitment of a Subsea Lead Engineer for a major LNG development project in Mozambique.
Role Overview
As Subsea Lead Engineer, you will be the technical focal point for all subsea equipment operations across 18 subsea wells. You’ll oversee the readiness, commissioning, and integrity of subsea assets, ensuring safe and efficient operations from engineering through to production.
