**Introduction**
The Energy Utilities Privatization Policy Analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to DoD organizations to help shape enterprise-scale utility infrastructure governance, funding, and regulatory compliance.
**Your role and responsibilities**
In this role, you will be responsible for leading strategic efforts in critical energy system delivery and utility infrastructure modernization to shape interagency processes, integrate emerging technologies, and ensure alignment with federal mandates and Department of Defense (DoD) directives. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) and national laboratories to assess vulnerabilities in energy systems supporting regional force projection, identifying critical energy generation sites and developing risk mitigation strategies to strengthen operational continuity across the Pacific theater.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
1) Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance and work onsite at Pentagon five days a week.
2) Subject-matter expertise in DoD Energy, Military Construction (MILCON), Operations and Maintenance (O&M), third-party utility financing, and energy risk mitigation for DoD-owned and privatized systems. (2 years of experience)
3) Experience overseeing tri-service coordination (Army, Navy, and Air Force) to improve transparency and accelerate the approval of mission-aligned energy infrastructure investments. (2 years of experience)
4) Experience delivering actionable insights and recommendations to senior DoD leadership to drive energy security and mission assurance and long-term infrastructure resilience. (2 years of experience)
5) Experience engaging with DoD, federal agencies, and private industry to advance initiatives related to utilities privatization and energy project siting. Facilitates interagency communication and problem-solving to ensure mission success. (5 years of experience)
6) Experience evaluating congressional inquiries and legislation affecting energy policy and utilities privatization. Prepares data-driven insights and responses for leadership and oversight bodies. (5 years of experience)
7) Experience supporting energy programs for DoD and other Federal agencies (10 years of experience).
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
1) Preferred degree in Energy, Environmental, and Climate Policy
