The essential responsibility for this position is to become the primary tester for applications within the AS Division, providing both manual and automated testing support. It will require direct interaction with the testing team, application developers, project leadership and some customers, along with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with each. Prior experience with Java, .NET, or other web-based platform is essential. As a Quality Assurance Analyst (Application Tester) the ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: • Serve as testing and quality assurance resource for all hosted applications in an Agile environment at PL ALTESS • Write test scripts and develop automated regression tests • Document bugs and track defects as they occur • Assist in the standardization and documentation of the testing process • Work with development teams to write test plans and schedule testing according to sprint schedules and application release dates • Collaborate with project teams, under the direction of project leads, to provide input towards application design, functionality, and navigation improvements This Job can be performed from anywhere in the US **Required technical and professional expertise** • Experience testing Java, .NET, ColdFusion, PHP, or similar web-based applications • Documentation of processes, testing efforts, and bug/defect investigation • Minimum of 3 years experience drafting Test Plans • Minimum of 3 years experience building Test Scripts Required Clearance: Top Secret **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
