Overview **Position contingent upon contract award** SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Database Architect (Task Lead) to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR). Essential Job Duties Serve as Task Lead to ensure effective theater-wide management of this technical area. Facilitate flow of information from the PM to geographically dispersed task technical implementation personnel, and ensure task implementation issues / challenges are communicated to the PM for resolution / awareness. Manage and mentor subordinates. Design strategies for enterprise database systems, focusing on administration, management, and maintenance of DBMS software. Architect database solutions in multiple environments, planning for DBMS changes to database structure. Establish standards for database operations. Develop architectures that ensure the integration of applications, interfaces, extensions, forms, and reports. Plan for DBMS installation, configuration, capacity, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restores, performance optimization, availability, and Disaster Recovery. Minimum Requirements An active Secret security clearance with an SSBI. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience. DOD Work Role 653 Certs: Security+ and vendor-specific advanced certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings. Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools. Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects. Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction. Work Environment Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations. Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
