Our team is a blend of passionate educators, innovators, designers, and collaborators, all united by a shared mission: adding life to a lifetime of learning. **About the Role** The **Subject Advisor** plays a key role in supporting schools, colleges, and educators with Pearson’s suite of qualifications in the UK and internationally. As the face of Pearson qualifications, you’ll often be the first point of contact for schools and educators. You’ll be responsible for understanding their needs, offering expert guidance, and ensuring their voices are heard internally — helping us to continually improve and respond to their evolving requirements. You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced, and supportive team of Subject Advisors within Pearson’s Enterprise Skills and Learning division — recognized as the team of subject-specific experts for each discipline. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Product, Assessment, Sales, and Marketing, acting as a key link between schools, educators, and Pearson, ensuring our guidance, products, services, and support align with their needs. A significant part of your role involves delivering high-caliber support across a range of channels — predominantly through our email platform, but also via phone, social media, online meetings, and our website — all while developing strong relationships with schools, educators, and stakeholders. **Key responsibilities include:** + Monitor social media for messages requiring a response and share relevant qualification updates, training, or new resources. + Provide accurate and helpful responses to incoming queries from schools, department heads, exams officers, parents, and private candidates. + Engage with our community pages by posting updates and addressing comments. + Produce and publish subject-specific news and guidance documents and keep the subject landing page up to date with the latest information. + Develop PowerPoint presentations for delivery at Multi-Academy Trusts, teaching associations, or training sessions tailored to their needs. + Compose and send the monthly email update for educators — featuring qualification news, training events, and resources. + Support live, online training sessions for educators and respond to questions in real time alongside the presenter. + Capture and track teacher inquiries and feed back to colleagues for further action or service improvements. + Develop additional guidance, video content, or resources to aid teacher understanding and delivery of qualifications. + Proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery and foster loyalty and retention by addressing frequently raised questions or growing customer needs. + Share customer insights with the team and collaborate to enable ongoing service excellence across all subject specialisms. + Support colleagues by participating in team meetings, sharing best practices, and delivering a consistently high standard of service. + Contribute to qualification redevelopment meetings, offering expertise and educator perspectives to aid in designing curricula and assessments. + Liaise with Customer Service team members who handle phone inquiries to make sure they’re up to speed with policy and guidance. + Stay up to date with education policy, Ofqual regulations, subject association news, blogs, and other sector-specific media. **This role requires the following strengths and behaviours:** + Educated to degree level with relevant subject qualifications in Business, Enterprise and Marketing. + A qualified teacher with classroom experience (UK or international) and familiarity with qualifications and education systems. + A confident, empathetic communicator who can deliver training sessions, produce clear guidance, and foster strong relationships with educators. + A networker who enjoys using social media and digital platforms to connect with stakeholders. + A strategic thinker who can contribute to service improvements and innovations, retaining loyalty and growing Pearson’s reach. + Ability to work independently while also embracing team collaboration. + Exceptional organizational skills — able to juggle multiple priorities, respond in a timely manner, and manage competing demands. **Job Location and Hours** This role is aligned to our London office at: Pearson UK, 80 Strand, London, WC2R 0RL We work a 37.5-hour week, with all our team free to flex their day around our core hours, which are Monday to Friday, 10 to 4 GMT/BST. School runs, etc can be accommodated. Other flexible working patterns can be considered, including part-time working and non-traditional hours. As we regularly work with global teams, particularly in India and the US, there may be the occasional need to accommodate meetings outside of core hours.
