Subcontracts Administrator | Pay: 95k - 100k/yr | 9-month contract-to-hire | Hybrid in Dayton, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Subcontracts Administrator who is self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic environment. The role involves comprehensive management throughout the procurement cycle, ensuring compliance and effective oversight under U.S. Government Contracts. This position is located in Dayton, Ohio, with a hybrid/remote work arrangement available.

Responsibilities

Administer subcontracts of various types and complexities.Lead or assist in key negotiations, including pricing, terms, and conditions.Resolve performance issues and identify risks along with associated mitigations.Support the development of major proposals.Ensure compliance with company policies, Federal government, and contract requirements.Perform subcontract close-out activities.Create moderate to complex RFP solicitations in accordance with Government and Company requirements.Evaluate supplier proposal responses and conduct price and cost analysis.Act as the primary interface between subcontractors and supported programs.Regularly interact with program management, contracts, project control, finance, business development, and customers.Process Consultant/Subcontractor Change Order Requests, including funding and Period of Performance changes.Create and maintain subcontract files compliant with public laws, FAR, and company requirements under an approved purchasing system.Support post-award subcontract management ensuring compliance with required performance criteria.

Essential Skills

Subcontract administration with experience in CPSR, FAR, and DFARS.Strong negotiation skills with experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.Proficiency in subcontract management and subcontractor management.Experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.).In-depth understanding of FAR/DFARS.Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint site document management.Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in subcontracts is required.Open to candidates with an Associate’s Degree plus 10 years of experience or equivalent education/training.CPSR experience is preferred or knowledge is required.US Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.

Work Environment

The position offers a flexible work-life balance with 8/9-5 hours, Monday to Friday. The hybrid work environment ideally involves four days per week in the office, with additional flexibility for one to two days per week, if necessary. The role primarily involves Air Force work, requiring minimal training time for a seasoned individual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
