Job Title: Study Coordinator
Job Description

The role involves conducting human subject research where participants will utilize a variety of technology products. The primary focus will be on monitoring participants and collecting data throughout the study, which takes place in an exercise setting using wearable devices. The study coordinator will guide participants through the study, ensuring they are properly set up with the devices and monitoring equipment, and that data collection is accurate.

ResponsibilitiesConduct research with human participants using wearable devices in an exercise setting.Monitor and collect data from participants throughout the study.Consent participants and take necessary vitals and measurements, including height, weight, and EKG.Ensure proper setup of devices and monitoring equipment for participants.Observe participants using devices during various activities according to protocol.Ensure data monitoring systems are functioning properly and collect data both through equipment and manually.Guide participants throughout the study, supporting data collection directly.Each participant session can last up to 2.5 hours.Essential SkillsExperience in research, data entry, and protocol implementation.Bachelor's degree in science, exercise science, kinesiology, or biology.Ability to execute test protocols.Technical proficiency to operate test devices and perform data entry.Experience with patient care or people interaction.Familiarity with gym equipment and exercise knowledge.Ability to stand for an entire shift.Clinical research experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in human subject research.Data analysis skills.Experience as a personal trainer.Work Environment

The work involves either a morning (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM) or afternoon (2:00 PM - 9:00 PM) shift, with the option to work double shifts. Shifts can be flexible to accommodate personal schedules, making it ideal for graduate students. The work will include being on your feet for extended periods, with some desk work. Participants will be engaged in a simulated environment, and some activities may be conducted outside. The dress code is casual yet presentable, suitable for active participation. Lunches are provided, and training is typically conducted during the day shift but can be adjusted for evening shift workers if needed. There are four openings each for day and evening shifts, and the study will run through the end of the year, potentially extending into early next year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
