Location/Division Specific Information

We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen, currently with about 500 employees, whose “high-end” measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide. Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS, as well as Trace Elemental Analysis, are among the leading products globally in their respective markets.

To strengthen our agile life science team, we are looking for a motivated student worker (m/f/d) who is eager to learn and to collaborate with our research and development scientists:

A day in the Life:

Preparing samples for LC-MS analysisOperating LC-MS systems to acquire dataData evaluation using PythonEnsuring proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipmentCollaborating with team members to optimize experimental protocolsDocumenting experimental procedures and results accuratelyParticipating in team meetings and contributing to project discussions

Keys to Success:
Education

Student in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, or related science, or equivalent education

Experience

Experience in writing programs for data analysis using Python or other programming languagesHands-on mentality with talent for laboratory work and data analysis

 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Interested in technology and scienceGood at open communication, likes to work in a team, eager to learn in an international environmentLanguage skills in English and German
