Student Support Representative
Description We are looking for a Student Support Representative to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position plays a vital role in guiding prospective students through the enrollment process, ensuring they are well-informed and supported as they transition into their educational programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful connections with applicants while adhering to organizational policies and standards. Responsibilities: • Provide detailed information about educational programs and enrollment processes to potential students, ensuring they understand their options and are prepared for success. • Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their career goals and determine their suitability for enrollment. • Manage inquiries by handling incoming and outgoing calls, receiving applications, and following up to ensure applicants are ready for orientation and program start dates. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the database, documenting all activities and interactions. • Collaborate with financial aid representatives and campus leadership to ensure a smooth enrollment experience. • Actively pursue referrals and leads, maintaining consistent communication to drive enrollment funnel results. • Prepare daily reports on recruitment activities and participate in regular strategy meetings with leadership. • Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting teamwork and upholding the institution's programs and values. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support admissions and enrollment processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, student support, sales, or a related field. • Proven ability to conduct interviews and evaluate candidates based on career compatibility. • Strong skills in managing inquiries through inbound and outbound calls, application processing, and follow-up. • Proficiency in high-volume data entry and maintaining accurate records in a database. • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and provide guidance to prospective students. • Experience in community outreach and generating leads to drive enrollment. • Goal-oriented mindset with self-motivation and the ability to work independently. • Familiarity with enrollment policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance in all activities.
