Student Intern Pharmacist
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** Prepares patient drug orders. - Accepts, checks in, and prepares drug orders from wholesalers - Reviews will-call prescriptions for duplicate bags for the same patient and for return-to-stock dates. - Credits to the patient and restock usable medications returned to the pharmacy. - Files medication orders. - Assists the pharmacists with audits. - Completes assigned unit inspections. - Restocks automated medication dispensing machines (Pyxis). - Enters fill stock requisitions for other departments. - Restocks tackle boxes and cart inserts (crash carts, airway carts, latex carts), and completes check in/out process. - Communicates stock utilization and ordering needs. - Checks medication expiration dates and alerts pharmacist when needed. - Compounds and labels extemporaneous liquid and solid products for patients according to procedure. - Answers telephone and processes requests according to procedures. - Charges and credits individual patient accounts from pharmacy file lists. **Required Qualifications:** + Certified Pharmacy intern or + Certified Pharmacy Technician or + Enrolled in a pharmacy tech in training program **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
