Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and curious high school students to join our team as interns in a professional aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. Under the close supervision and mentorship of experienced staff, interns will undertake a variety of assigned activities or projects of fixed duration. This internship offers hands-on experience, an opportunity to develop workplace skills, and exposure to various career paths in aviation. Duties may vary based on the specific assignment and work location. Per FAA regulations, no interns will work directly on aircraft as part of their work assignment.
Essential Duties
Assist with basic tasks in the department assigned. Participate in team meetings and training when applicable. Conduct special projects and initiatives as assigned. Help prepare reports, presentations, or other materials if needed. Shadow professionals in different departments to learn about roles and workflows. Follow all company policies and procedures. Minimum
Students must be eligible to participate in their school system’s CTE internship program. Applications must be coordinated through the career development coordinator at their high school.
Currently enrolled in high school (16+ yrs old/rising Junior or Senior) Reliable transportation. No school disciplinary history. Consistent school attendance record. Physically able to perform the job duties assigned with reasonable accommodation. Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Agree to adhere to all rules and expectations for the duration of the internship. Basic computer skills. Read, write, and understand English. Parent or Guardian consent. Must pass a drug screen and background check. Interest in aviation preferred but not required.
