Posting Details Posting Information Requisition 202500374ST Title Student Employee-Engineering Technology-Research Assistant Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position No Department Dept of Engineering Technology Division Division of Academic Affairs Hours per week up to 10 hours per week until Summer 2026 Hiring Rate $10.00 per hour Preferred Student Classification Two undergraduate Nature & Purpose of Position The research project is titled “Enhancement, Security, and Vulnerability Assessment, and Forensic Analysis of SCADA/ICS Systems”. We are seeking two motivated undergraduate students from the Computer Science and/or Engineering Technology departments to participate in a funded research project focused on industrial control system (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) environments. The student researchers will contribute to enhancing our SCADA laboratory by installing new hardware/software, improving security features, conducting vulnerability assessments and supporting forensic analysis.
Other Requirements for the Position Students will learn hands-on experience with industrial control systems, cybersecurity, and forensic analysis. They will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art SCADA/ICS research and teaching laboratory. The students will benefit from faculty mentorship and potential for future research presentations or publications.
