13558BRJob Description:The United States Steel Corporation and Carnegie Pension Fund is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investments Summer Intern to join the Investments team in Pittsburgh, PA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the asset management industry, working alongside seasoned professionals to support various aspects of asset management and retirement plan administration and analysis.
The intern will operate within a small team that places a strong emphasis on growth and development and where a meaning impact can be achieved.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist in the administration and management of retirement plans, including day-to-day operations
+ Gain a familiarity with institutional investing
+ Conduct research and analysis on investments including performance and attribution analysis
+ Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
+ Collaborate with team members on special projects related to asset allocation, tactical investments, and implementation of strategies
+ Participate in client meetings, taking notes and helping to draft follow-up communications
+ Maintain organized documentation and assist with data management tasks
+ Participate in senior level conversations and decision making
+ Cross functional exposure to human resources, legal and accounting departments
+ Leverage AI systems to improve operational efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications
+ Candidates must be a full-time student
+ Candidate must have a minimum GPA of 3.5
+ Preferred entering senior year in Fall 2026
+ Majors: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
+ Willingness to learn investment analysis software
+ Ability to work remotely and in the Pittsburgh office as needed
