The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced or Lead Structures & Payload Design Engineer to join the Design CenterSOUTH located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will focus on the structural design and product definition for Boeing platforms to include commercial aircraft, UAV, ground vehicles, space vehicles and payloads, and various defense industry platforms and products.
Tasks will include design work, 3D CAD model generation and product data management systems work for structures and structural hardware and assemblies. Work will include a mix of model-based definition and traditional drawing generation. Work will interface with adjacent engineering FUNCTION to include stress analysis, materials and processes, manufacturing, procurement, quality, safety, systems and verification. Designs will comply with customer requirements, including typical release processes and signature cycle approvals. Candidate will support supplier development, testing, and production activities, collaborating closely with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceTypically, 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 years design experience with modern space launch systems5 years Design experience2 years experience with Creo CAD softwareTypical Education/Experience:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Experienced, Level 3: $ 90,100 - $ 121,900
Summary pay range, Lead, Level 4: $ 113,050 - $ 152,950
