We are seeking to hire a Director leveled position to lead structuring for Rates and Credit in Brazil covering institutional clients. In this position, you will manage a team locally and be working with the regional team situated in NY and Mexico. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. An acknowledged authority both within and outside area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, with external communication required as well. Provides advanced judgment and conducts in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions based on client needs. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas.  

Responsibilities:

The Structurer will hold a key role including having a good understanding of the client and firm’s requirements, enabling one to provide and execute innovative solutionsParticipate in the development of new products.Pricing, risk and P&L impact pre-trade and post-tradeParticipate to the pre-trade & post-sales effort, closely working with dedicated institutional salesMarketing presentations and participation in client meetingsWork in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Market Risk, Credit Risk and Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure and in building new solutionsBuild a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethicsAppropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.

Qualifications:

10+ years structuring experience from a financial institutionDemonstrated quantitative and analytical skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive mannerGood understanding of the Brazilian market eg. financial, capital, accountingPortuguese and/or Spanish language skills preferredMust be able to write, read and speak English fluently

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
