The Quality & Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization which includes P&W Advanced Metrology is responsible for working closely with our internal and external producers and providing process approvals, surveillance, and production support. P&W Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Advanced Metrology group to support improvement activities, application development, introduction of inspection technologies, and to become a subject matter expert to develop standard methods and support other company functional groups in areas related to measurement.
What You Will Do:
Become a structured light scanning and analysis expert.Perform scanning inspection and analysis for customer requests, both in-house and at customer locations.Qualify and audit P&W module centers and suppliers for compliance to the Structured Light Qualification method. Provide findings report and follow-ups, as needed. Create standard work for structured light inspection and technology deployment.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.Maintain compliance with all EH&S and ethics requirements.Cross training opportunities in airflow testing, balance testing, CMM, and calibration within Q&PE.Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree in science, technology or engineering and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience.Experience in manufacturing or quality in the aerospace industry.Comfortable working with automated machinery and robotics.Qualifications We Prefer:
Metrology concentration preferred.Programming in Python, Visual Basic, or Java preferred.Strong knowledge of GD&T drawing interpretation, and implementation of measuring systems.Familiar with CMM programming and structured light inspection.Experience with structured light scanners and analysis software such as GOM, POLYWORKS or GEOMAGICStrong statistical and analytical skills. Understand Design of Experiments, SPC, and Gage R&R.Knowledge of aerospace industry quality standards and procedures. Focus on results and customer satisfaction.Self-motivated and can work independently.Travel Requirements: up to 20%Layout Inspection experience.Learn More and Apply:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
