Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Structured Finance Analyst to join our Global Structured Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the cash and asset management of trust accounts. This role involves monitoring overdrafts and uninvested cash, funding accounts in compliance with governing trust documents, and disbursing funds to certificate holders and other parties. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong time management and critical thinking skills, and be comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage cash and assets for trust accounts, ensuring timely funding and disbursements in accordance with legal and trust documentation.

Monitor and resolve overdrafts and uninvested cash balances.

Review bond financing documents and apply internal controls to determine the amount and timing of cash and asset movements.

Prepare and process trust accounting system entries for authorized disbursements and other transactions.

Ensure payment files load successfully into the payment system and that payment factors are calculated accurately.

Identify and correct errors in payment files and reload as necessary.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and requirements are met.

Support reconciliation, payment processing, and account balancing efforts.

Demonstrate a proactive approach by anticipating payment needs and addressing issues before deadlines.

Mitigate risk by asking the right questions and applying sound judgment in high-risk scenarios.

Be open to coaching and continuous improvement.

Speak up when support is needed and actively contribute to team success.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate's degree or technical education, or equivalent work experience

Two to three years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Thorough understanding of simple to complex accounting transactions

Proven commitment to quality customer service

Ability to interpret transaction and/or distribution documents

Ability to calculate percentages and ratios without instructions or formulas provided

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Excel

Systems experience with Trust Accounting and Bond Accounting systems preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $24.18 - $32.21
