Position Responsibilities:

Perform 15.4 DE responsibilities (i.e. reviewing drawings, models, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure design & manufacturability of spare parts)Building technical data packages for use by suppliersPlan and perform engineering analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirementsWork closely with Team Leads to assist other team membersWork with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to ensure approval of analysisWork and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are metDevelop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiencyExperience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesBeing able to Interpret Industry/Company Standards & ProcessesSome tools to be familiar with are CatiaV5, Enovia, REDARS, ETAC, PDM and other industry engineering tools

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

2+ years of experience (as described below) plus a Bachelor of science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree, OR an Associates degree with similar disciplines and 4 or more years experience with the below:Experience in Structure and/or Payload Design EngineeringExperience in a military or commercial aircraft environment2D & 3D design with some knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&TExperience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changes

​Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years of Structure Design Engineering experience in commercial aircraft environment1+ years of experience in Production or SparesMaster's Degree in related Engineering discipline

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
