Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Structural Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of buildings and structures throughout the region.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, bridges, and other structures to assess their structural integrity and compliance with local and international building codesAnalyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure construction adheres to approved plansPerform on-site inspections during various stages of construction to verify proper implementation of structural elementsIdentify structural deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective actionsPrepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of findingsCollaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to address structural issues and ensure compliance with safety standardsStay up-to-date with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry best practicesUtilize structural analysis software to assess complex structural systemsProvide technical guidance and support to junior inspectors and team membersEnsure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local construction practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in structural inspection or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredRelevant certifications, such as ICC Structural Inspector certification, are highly desirableProficiency in structural analysis software and ability to interpret complex technical dataIn-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction materials and methodsStrong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearlyDemonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detailKnowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and familiarity with local construction practicesAbility to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel to various construction sites within the Riyadh areaAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
