Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of structural elements in various construction projects throughout the region.

Conduct thorough inspections of structural components in construction projects to verify compliance with contract documents, local building codes, and safety standardsAnalyze and interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsPerform on-site quality control checks, meticulously documenting observations, measurements, and test resultsMonitor contractor activities, manpower, and equipment usage, ensuring adherence to project specificationsCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams to verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractorsProcess and evaluate incoming inspection requests and technical submittals efficientlyPrepare detailed, analytical reports on structural integrity, potential issues, and recommended solutionsEnforce strict adherence to health and safety measures on construction sitesConduct precise site measurements and surveying checks as requiredCollaborate with project managers and engineers to address structural concerns or deviations from plansStay updated on the latest structural inspection techniques, building codes, and industry best practicesImplement and maintain quality assurance procedures throughout the inspection process

QualificationsDiploma in Engineering (required), preferably in Civil or Structural EngineeringMinimum of 15 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy, focusing on structural inspectionExtensive knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materialsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsStrong understanding of quality control and quality assurance procedures in constructionFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia, as well as international standardsProven experience with site supervision, inspection techniques, and documentation practicesProficiency in relevant software tools for structural inspection and reportingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamPhysical fitness to work in various weather conditions and at heightsValid certification in structural inspection or related field (preferred)Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods for structural elementsUnderstanding of materials science and structural failure mechanismsAbility to adapt to the local climate conditions in Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaValid driver's licenseCommitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in all aspects of work
