Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of structural elements in various construction projects throughout the region. + Conduct thorough inspections of structural components in construction projects to verify compliance with contract documents, local building codes, and safety standards + Analyze and interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents + Perform on-site quality control checks, meticulously documenting observations, measurements, and test results + Monitor contractor activities, manpower, and equipment usage, ensuring adherence to project specifications + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors + Process and evaluate incoming inspection requests and technical submittals efficiently + Prepare detailed, analytical reports on structural integrity, potential issues, and recommended solutions + Enforce strict adherence to health and safety measures on construction sites + Conduct precise site measurements and surveying checks as required + Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address structural concerns or deviations from plans + Stay updated on the latest structural inspection techniques, building codes, and industry best practices + Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures throughout the inspection process **Qualifications** + Diploma in Engineering (required), preferably in Civil or Structural Engineering + Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy, focusing on structural inspection + Extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials + Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents + Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance procedures in construction + Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia, as well as international standards + Proven experience with site supervision, inspection techniques, and documentation practices + Proficiency in relevant software tools for structural inspection and reporting + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail + Strong communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus) + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team + Physical fitness to work in various weather conditions and at heights + Valid certification in structural inspection or related field (preferred) + Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods for structural elements + Understanding of materials science and structural failure mechanisms + Ability to adapt to the local climate conditions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia + Valid driver's license + Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in all aspects of work **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
