Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for structural design of foundations, ancillary structures and anchorage for utility scale substations in the renewable markets.Prepare or direct the structural design reports, specifications, and plans. Review and approve project submittals, RFIs, and supports field activities during construction.Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited programEducation or experience should include the following:IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318Shallow and deep foundations, including spread footings, slab-on-grade, piles, and concrete caissonsConnection and anchorage design such as cast-in-place, post installed, welds and high-strength boltsSteel member design, including cold-formed and hot-rolled steel sectionsreinforced and prestressed concrete designActive construction projects, including inspections, submittals, and RFIs
