Position Overview:

As a Structural/Fabrication Fitter, you’ll be responsible for laying out, positioning, and fitting together structural metal components in preparation for welding. You’ll work from blueprints and drawings to help build high-quality steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specs.Measure and fabricate structural components to code and standards.Align, position, and fit parts using clamps, bolts, and tack welds.Use hand torches and tools to reshape or dismantle parts as needed.Maintain records of work orders and materials.Conduct inspections and prepare reports as required.Follow company and customer policies and safety procedures.Qualifications:Experience with MIG and structural welding preferred.Ability to read blueprints and perform layout/fitting tasks.Basic experience with hand torches.Previous structural fitting or fabrication experience is a plus.Entry-level applicants with basic welding knowledge are welcome.Must be able to pass a weld test during the interview.High School Diploma or GED required.Additional Info:Welding certifications are not required— certification will be provided on the job.Fabrication experience and flux core/stick welding knowledge are helpful.Why Join Us?Opportunity for career advancement— many team members have grown into leadership roles.Contract-to-hire position with potential for permanent placement.Pay increases based on performance, skill, and attitude.Supportive team culture focused on growth and development.Work Environment:2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–2:00 AM; Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM; optional Saturdays.Outdoor covered shop environment — can be loud and dirty.Located off Prospect Rd./Dixie Highway in Fort Lauderdale.Bring your own welding hood and wear boots.Location:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
