Job Description

AECOM Enterprise Capabilities are seeking a Structural Engineer III with 6–8 years of professional experience in the design and analysis of infrastructure projects to join our Structural Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will contribute to complex projects, work under general supervision, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on assignments within the Ports & Marine sector, both across North America and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design of port and marine structures (such as piers, wharves, or bulkheads).Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.Coordinate with geotechnical and multidisciplinary teams.Support senior engineers in concept development, detailed design, and design reviews.Ensure quality control and compliance with project requirements, schedules, and budgets.Support design reviews, constructability assessments, and construction-phase technical queries.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.4+ years of relevant experience in structural design of bridges and infrastructure.Solid knowledge of structural analysis and design principles for reinforced concrete and steel structures.Familiarity with AASHTO, CCP14, ACI, USACE, PIANC (as applicable).Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, Enercalc, MAthcad, or similar, and AutoCAD. BIM experience is a plus.Advanced technical English.

Master’s degree in related fields preferred.6 years of relevant experience in structural design of bridges and infrastructure.Experience in structural analysis and design of port and marine structures such as wharves, piers, piles, dolphins, quay walls, and retaining systemsExperience in multidisciplinary infrastructure and international projects.Knowledge of durability, corrosion protection, and marine environment considerations.Ability to work independently on defined tasks with limited supervision.
