Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a motivated and detail orientate person to provide resident engineering services during the construction phase of a major infrastructure project in the lower mainlad. This role is based on-site and involves close collaboration with contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure structural works are executed in accordance with design specifications, and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Monitor and inspect structural works including foundations, superstructures, platforms, canopies, and ancillary structures at multiple locations. + Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. + Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical issues and field changes. + Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contract documents. + Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and safety inspections. + Prepare daily reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and field memos. + Support the Project Manager in managing construction quality. + Liaise with design engineers to address Requests for Information (RFIs) and design clarifications. + Assist in reviewing contractor submittals and method statements related to structural works. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum: + Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent and Four (4) + years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 2 years in a construction site supervision. + Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation in British Columbia. **Preferred Qualifications** + Ideally, we prefer an individual with six (6+) years transit infrastructure or station construction + Strong knowledge of structural systems, concrete and steel construction, and relevant codes (e.g., CSA, ACI, AISC). + Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. + Valid driver’s license as the site is not accessible by public transit. + Experience with public sector infrastructure projects. + Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam). **Additional Information** + Company paid relocation is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
