Structural Engineer (PE)
Job Description Join Insight Global as a Professional Structural Engineer and become part of an industry-leading consulting team specializing in industrial and commercial projects. We seek a candidate with 5-10 years of relevant experience and strong project management skills to design, lead, and deliver structural engineering solutions that exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and execute structural engineering projects from concept through construction, including new buildings, retrofits, and expansions. Prepare structural calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of industrial and commercial structures. Lead coordination efforts with other engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical review and guidance. Communicate with clients and stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing technical inquiries. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, local jurisdictions). Perform field investigations, site inspections, and construction support as required. Oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 5-10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment. Demonstrated project management experience with multidisciplinary teams. Proficient in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, REVIT). Knowledge of structural systems for commercial and industrial projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel for site work. Seismic analysis and design experience. Familiarity with sustainable or resilient design principles. Experience with construction administration and field services.
