Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Structural EngineeI to be based in Denver, CO. This Structural Engineer will support a wide range of projects across industries including commercial, industrial, government, aviation, and technology, parking structures, and infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to develop analytical and design skills while focusing on adaptive reuse, condition assessments, seismic design/retrofits (where applicable), advanced structural analysis methods, and overseeing complex projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Assist with the design of buildings and other structures in a variety of markets, such as commercial, government and institutional, and infrastructure Coordinate with other engineering and architecture disciplines in producing construction documentsPrepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, specifications, reports, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for a variety of projectsPerform construction administration tasks as contracts require, including coordinating with construction professionals, reviewing shop drawings, visiting sites, and answering RFI’sPerform work including a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirementsOccasionally perform condition assessments and site visitsWork under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team memberProgress design experience toward attaining the professional engineer license.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited four-year college or university plus two (2) years or more of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Civil and/or Structural EngineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit to produce structural engineering documentsExcellent communication skillsExperience in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM Structural, RAM Concept, Tedds, or LPile
