EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN CALGARY

Our client is currently seeking an intermediate Structural Engineer to join their team in Calgary to support their substation engineering department. Our client is an engineering consulting firm with offices in Calgary and Regina that provides design and engineering services to the electric power delivery industry. Their expertise includes all aspects of Transmission, Substation and Distribution systems for voltages ranging from 4160V to 500kV.

The civil/structural substation engineer will be primarily involved in the design of steel structure for substations and the foundations for them as well using concrete and screw piles. The structural engineer will need to have a P.Eng and have a 5 years of exp. working on steel and concrete structures.

MUST HAVES

- P.Eng in Civil/Structural Engineering

- 2+ working years as a structural engineer

- AutoCad 3d

- Microstations

- Ability and willingness to design and from time to time draft

- Experience in design of steel structures within an industrial setting (not warehouses or simple structures)

- Past brownfield steel structure design (eg. addition of a cross beam)

- Concrete slab design / screw pile knowledge

NICE TO HAVES

- 2-4 Years of Transmission/Distribution industry exp.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
