Job Description
We are seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a variety of industrial projects across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The successful candidate will manage projects in the structural discipline of engineering, working alongside two junior engineers, a drafting group, and a department manager. This role offers the opportunity to interface with multiple clients and lead projects.
ResponsibilitiesDesign steel structures, concrete structures, and foundations for petrochemical and industrial facilities.Provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects.Utilize RISA 3D CAD software for all design work.Interface with clients to address any questions or needs related to projects.Perform structural calculations for projects.Collaborate with designers and drafters on designs based on structural calculations.Manage project responsibilities where applicable.Spend approximately 90% of the time in-office and 10% traveling to client sites.Essential SkillsExperience in heavy industrial or petrochemical environments, specifically with structural steel and concrete foundation engineering.Proficiency in structural engineering calculations software such as Staadpro, Mathcad, and RISA 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience and proficiency with RISA 3D software.Work Environment
The position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in the office depending on commuting distance, with flexible start times in a business casual environment. The work schedule consists of four 9-hour days from Monday to Thursday, and one 4-hour day on Friday. Minimal travel is expected, typically day travel. The role involves 90% in-office work and 10% travel to client sites. Candidates commuting more than an hour may have a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. Relocation packages are an option, and candidates may work from offices in Kentucky or Indiana.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $70.00/hr.
